Christmas in Rocket Park
Christmas in Rocket Park 2011 is now over, and due to all the sponsorship, creativity, cooperation and sheer hard work of a team of over 100, we can all be suitably proud and thankful! I'm proud of what we can deliver as a Mt Albert Community. And I'm thankful for the opportunity to again spread the Christmas spirit, support Plunket, and for such perfect weather sandwiched between strong south-westerlies on the preceding days and rain forecast for tonight! God is good - all the time!
I want to say a huge THANK YOU TO EACH AND EVERY ONE who made Christmas in Rocket Park 2011 another outstanding event! Without people like you, CIRP could not happen! In the middle of an exhausting weekend Petra did a superb job as MC; personally I think the best so far! Suzy worked the crowd with experience and ease! One lady who had to take her young children home early told me that she was so sad to leave during Luke's awesome gig! The Carols Band rocked like never before. The various items were outstanding. The Production Company did a great job with the staging, sound and lighting. And the people loved it!
Once all the takings have been counted we'll let you know how much was raised for Plunket and for the well in Thailand.
