Christmas is coming!

Celebrating Christmas is one of our favourite times of year – we get to tell the story of Jesus’ birth.
MAB holds two services – an evening Christmas Eve carols service, and a Christmas Day celebration service (details below).
“We are so lucky to be in a country that celebrates Christmas, and Christians have this window of time where we can connect with the secular community about the story that inspires our faith,” says MAB lead pastor Steve Worsley.
He says MAB’s free community Christmas lunch is part of reaching out to people in need, following God’s example.
As for working on the hallowed day – Steve says he enjoys the food, celebration and family connection.
“I enjoy it a lot more when the Christian faith has a part in the day. For me it adds a lot of meaning and puts a frame around all of the celebrating. I just have to make sure I keep plenty of energy for my family once the services are all done!”

(Both services run for an hour, at Mt Albert Baptist)
