Theology Intro
Posted by MAB
Having a faith that is as intelligent as it is courageous is part of Laidlaw College’s mission to equip Christians. We couldn’t agree more!
Together we’re setting up a mini-campus of Laidlaw College at Mt Albert Baptist Church, to live-stream lectures "Theology Intro" on Tuesday nights next semester from July 18.
It’s the first time a church has partnered with the college to offer its classes, after noticing a desire for deeper Bible study, and within weeks of announcing the initiative the class is already full.
Laidlaw College lecturer Greg Liston (a theology PhD and former pastor at MAB) will be delivering the lectures from the college’s Manukau campus, with both sites linked via video. The classes will be interactive, with discussion.
“Theology basically asks two questions. First, what do we know about God, and second, how does what we know apply to how we live. It would be hard to think of a subject more important or more vibrant,” Greg says.
People attending the lectures can come and listen for just personal growth, or complete the assignments and gain a credit towards a university-level qualification.
The lecture series runs all semester and requires a commitment in time and cost ($248 for just listening, or $792 for a university level credit).
Although this semester's class is full, Greg is keen to hear from anyone who would be keen to join in next time - for more info please contact Greg Liston.
