Jonathan is married to Robyn and has four children: Arwen (4), Chase (2), Elisha (9 months) and their late son, Toby Jack (T.J.) Jonathan and Robyn completed their training for Christian ministry at Adelaide College of Ministries, Australia and Dallas Theological Seminary, Texas, USA.  Jonathan’s passion is to see people take steps forward in their spiritual growth and vitally connect in the community of faith. As Lead Pastor, Jonathan is responsible for the preaching, leadership development, and overall leadership. As part of his involvement in the wider community, he convenes the Mt Albert Baptist Churches (Ecumenical) group.

Arthur Warner

Arthur joined MAB in June 2009 and has responsibility for strategic planning, operations management, staff supervision, community projects and the long-anticipated building project. He is happily married to Dorrie who is the LifeGroup Ministry Leader. They have three children aged 24, 21 and 18 who are each very involved in their own churches. Arthur’s background is high school teaching (specialising in multimedia), national youth leadership, church leadership and at present Arthur is also a director of a video production company that he started in 2003 and is presently being run by his oldest son together with another director. Arthur is passionate about helping the church to achieve it’s seven dreams as determined by the Lead Pastor and Elders.

Jeff Orr

Jeff is married to (Canadian born) Heather and has one daughter Emily (21 months) and another baby on the way in May. Jeff has a Masters degree from Regent College in Vancouver (Canada) and has also completed his Bachelor of Theology through Sydney College of Divinity. Jeff is passionate about the local church and seeing the whole body of Christ fulfill its mission and calling! Jeff is starting at MAB January 2010 as Associate Pastor with responsibilities for Youth/Young Adults, Community Research and Development, School Makeover Project Manager and will help on the Preaching Team.

Karen Fountain

Children & Families Pastor

Karen is married to Richard and they have three teenage children; Emily, Cameron and Greta. After dairy farming in the Waikato they both studied at Dallas Theological Seminary in Texas, USA, where Karen gained a Masters in Biblical Studies. She is passionate about encouraging and supporting the families of MAB and those in the wider community. Our children are a precious and vibrant part of our community and Karen is excited about nurturing their faith in God.

Sharee Harkness

Worship Director

Sharee is happily married to Brendon and they have three wonderful children, Kaeli (8), Asher (6) and Sierra (5). Her role at MABC is as ‘Worship Director’. Sharee has a passion to see the church excited about the great God we serve, bringing Him worship through our lives. She is trained as a music specialist, through Auckland University (B.Mus) and Auckland College Education (Diptch). She has completed half of her GradDip through Laidlaw, and hopes to continue her studies in the near future.

Ian is in charge of the property, opening and closing, security. He doesn’t live on the property, but you will frequently see him around the place.

Patricia Sampaio

Office Manager

Patricia is married to Gus and they have been blessed with two wonderful sons: Lucas (13) and Daniel (7). She has a Bachelor in Business Administration and a Masters degree in Services Marketing, which is quite handy for her role at the office. Her job is to assist in the organisational aspects of the church by providing leadership to the office, administrative support to our staff team and ministry leaders, leadership to a team of volunteers and weekly communication of church events.
