This ministry is for you if you are aged 18-30 and love hanging out with friends, helping people, and worshipping God!
Twice a month we have life group meetings where we are currently looking at the biblical narrative, making sense of this awesome but huge and at times overwhelming book in order to be able to better interpret each part and see thematic links throughout. Slowly we are covering the Old Testament and reading it in light of the new, giving depth and meaning to the person of Jesus Christ and what he has done for us. Importantly, we desire to internalise the scriptures and let them transform us.
Once a month we do an act of service for our community. We have done things such as babysitting for couples who have given a lot to our church, painting houses, painting toys for the toy library and will do anything that our community needs. Later in the year we intend to get stuck into helping out Mt Albert Primary which we will do as part of a church wide project!
And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is known to be my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly be rewarded. – Matthew 10:42
Once a month we meet together for an event at our church. This may be for a feast or to share testimonies or to listen to a speaker or what we feel is relevant at the time...
Worship is an essential part of who we are. Lots of us are involved in the music ministry and help the rest of us to worship God through song. We are always keen for new musicians and developing original music.
One thing that I have asked of the Lord that I will seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in His temple—Psalm 27:4
