Life Groups

Connect with God and others at one of our small groups.

Life groups are small groups of people who meet regularly in people’s homes to encourage one another, pray together and learn more about being followers of Jesus.

We have many groups that run during the week, on different week nights, and can help you find a group where you can connect and grow.

For more information and to find a group that works for you email Pastor Diane Liston.

Global Missions

As a church that was founded more than a century ago, MABC has a long history of sending missionaries and Christian workers overseas. In that time, more than 100 people have gone overseas from our church, to work in 25 different countries around Asia, Africa and the Pacific.

We now partner with a number of missionaries providing them prayer and encouragement and, for some, financial support. In the same way, we also support the Baptist Mission Fellowship (BMF).

We encourage you to find out more about Global Missions – whether it’s financially supporting missionaries, keeping up to date through the Global Missions News website, or going overseas.

To find out more email missions@mabc.org.nz

International Ministries

We are a multicultural church that welcomes anyone and everyone to be part of our community.

People from other countries who have made their home in New Zealand have a special place in our church.

As a way of celebrating our diversity and building community we regularly host Global Café Nights and other international themed indoor and outdoor events.

For more information email Pastor Rob Lovatt.

Newcomers Lunch

Once a term after the 11am service we have our Newcomers Lunch for anyone who has been new to MABC in recent months.

We ask how people have got on connecting at MABC and describe the pathways we have set up to help church involvement and relational connection. We mention a few of the things we place particular value on as a church.

These meetings are always fun and a chance to meet some people from MABC. Lunch is provided.

60+ Morning Tea

Those aged 60 and over are invited to a regular informal catch-up with Mt Albert Baptist’s lead pastor Steve Worsley and others.

We promise you don’t need to divulge your age at the door, but those aged 60 and over are invited to a regular informal catch-up with our Lead pastor Steve Worsley, and others on the pastoral team.

This is an opportunity to hear about what’s happening in the church, give feedback and encouragement.

Email church office for the details of the next 60+ Morning Tea.

Pastoral Care

It’s not just the pastors that care for the people in our church - we all care for each other.

We encourage everyone to be part of our culture of care, and to help each other when there is a need.

Our Life Groups play a significant role in providing care, be part of one of these small groups that meet during the week - it's the best way we can actively care for each other.

If a situation requires additional support, please contact the pastoral team or email the church office –we're here to help.

We love hearing from people who are interested in getting involved in any part of our church life – from playing in the worship team, welcoming people, to our next gen ministries.
